会場は提灯で美しくライトアップされ、雰囲気はまさに本場の夏祭り！焼きそば、たこ焼き、たい焼き、かき氷など、みんな大好きな祭りの屋台がずらりと並びます。さらに、子どもから大人まで楽しめる縁日ゲームも盛りだくさん！そしてなんと、迫力満点の太鼓パフォーマンスや、心躍る音楽も楽しめます！
浴衣を着て参加すれば、気分は最高潮！アメリカにいながら日本の夏を満喫できる、またとないチャンスです。日本文化とアメリカ文化が出会う、心温まる交流の場にもなります。どなたでも大歓迎ですので、ご家族やお友達を誘ってぜひお越しください！

Join us for HIKARI MATSURI – a Japanese Summer Festival Experience!
Hosted by Mile City Church in Plymouth, this special night on Friday, September 12 will transport you straight into the heart of a traditional Japanese summer festival!
Step into a beautifully lit space adorned with glowing lanterns and soak in the festive atmosphere. You’ll find all your favorite matsuri foods like yakisoba, takoyaki, taiyaki, and kakigori (shaved ice)—delicious treats for the whole family! We’ll also have classic Japanese festival games that both kids and adults can enjoy, along with exciting performances including a live taiko drum show and great music throughout the night!
Wear a yukata if you have one and fully embrace the spirit of the festival! It’s a wonderful chance to enjoy a slice of Japanese culture right here in Michigan—and a meaningful opportunity for cultural connection between the Japanese and American communities.
